METHODS

Static testing of components and entire assemblies

Static and quasi-static tensile, compression and bending tests on components or entire assemblies to determine strength, stiffness and elasticity as well as to investigate fracture behavior.

According to which standards do we test?

Whenever possible, we carry out our testing services in accordance with international standards or based on them. With the method described here, however, a solution tailored to specific customer requirements is usually implemented.

Our devices comply with quality class 0.5 or 1.0 for force and displacement measurement in accordance with ISO 7500‑1 and ISO 9513, respectively.

Which devices do we use?

  • ZwickRoell Z250 with a force range up to 250 kN
  • ZwickRoell 1475 with a force range up to 100 kN
  • ZwickRoell ZwickiLine Z5.0 with a force range up to 2.5 kN

What you should know about this method?

Where and in which direction should the force be applied?

As close as possible to the intended use of the component/assembly. Contact us, we will be happy to advise you!

Which products can be tested?

We test all products. Contact us and we will be happy to discuss your individual requirements.

Which characteristic values can be determined by the test?

The data is recorded continuously during the test. This allows many parameters such as maximum force, stiffness etc. to be evaluated after the test.

Are the analyses accredited?

RMS is an ISO 17025 accredited analytical laboratory (accreditation type C). Many of the analyses are already validated. New or customer-specific analysis methods can be validated and accredited by us.
