Carrier Gas Hot Extraction Analyses (CGHE) Overview Metals

System: LECO CS 230 + Bruker G8 Galileo & mass spectrometer ESD 100

Carrier gas hot extraction analysis in an inert or reactive gas atmosphere for quantitative determination of the elements carbon, sulfur, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and argon in metallic and non-metallic materials.

Useful tips:

Suitable samples: Solid materials (metallic + non-metallic).
Sample specifications:
  • Delivery of the samples: Material must be very clean (no contamination by cutting tools or other impurities).
  • Compact pieces, chips, powder; 5 g, if necessary chemical surface treatment of the samples
Range/Options:
  • Gas calibration device
  • Copper and copper alloys
  • Steel and iron alloys
  • Titanium and titanium alloys
  • Ar content in PM steels
  • Hard metals
  • Ceramic materials
  • Biomaterials
  • Aluminum and aluminum alloys
