Conductivity measurement on non-ferrous metals

The conductivity of non-ferrous metals and alloys can be determined using the eddy current method at different measuring frequencies. This test is non-destructive and non-contact and can therefore be used in the production, processing or inspection of finished goods.

According to which standards do we test?

Whenever possible, we carry out our testing services in accordance with or based on these international standards:

  • ASTM E1004
  • EN 2004-1

Which devices do we use?

  • Fischer Sigmascope SMP10

What you should know about this method?

Which products can be tested at the RMS?
Non-ferrous metals or non-magnetic alloys such as wrought aluminum alloys.
Is the method accredited?

RMS is an ISO 17025 accredited analytical laboratory (accreditation type C). The conductivity measurement of non-ferrous metals is validated and accredited by us.
